What would a fandom be without stamping?

If you're a sorted member of Westeros Sorting you can hop over to this community to get stamped as a character of ASOIAF. Stick around for various themes we'll introduce throughout, and have fun!

And just in case you were wondering who to thank for this lovely group of communities, the answer is of course cyshobbitlass, deeplyunhip, and honest_illusion.

rules, application and stamps

1. This is a members only community. You have to be a member of westerosorting and then join in order to see the posts.

2. Except for the first three applications, you have to vote on three applications before you submit yours. These three applications must be linked to at the bottom of your own application.

3. When filling out the application, please answer all the questions and be as detailed and thorough as possible. The more we know, the more accurate your stamping will be! Also, please leave the format of the application as it is, with the LJ-CUT intact.

Be sure to specify the gender of stamp you prefer -- male, female, both male AND female (two stamps at once), or either male OR female.

And no "pushing" - after all, it defeats the purpose of coming to find out who you are, no? Honesty, please! If you are thoroughly unconvinced by your result you are eligible to re-apply for a stamp -- once.

4. When voting, please capitalize your house name and put it in the subject line in square brackets, so that the mods can easily keep track of the house points you earn by voting (if you are using a Livejournal style that does not show comment subject lines, please bold it in addition and put it at the top of your comment, i.e. [TULLY]). Please bold your votes as well.

Make sure you pay attention to if a person asked for a male stamp, a female stamp, two stamps of both genders, or a stamp of either gender. You may also give someone No Vote if you feel that they have not elaborated enough, or if you feel that they have been pushy or dishonest in their application.

Please elaborate as much as possible when voting. Often the reasoning is the most interesting part of the vote.

4. Applications will be released on Fridays and stamped on the following Friday, with a maximum of seven applications a week. Once you're stamped, feel free to use the banner wherever you wish. Banners are initially uploaded to imageshack or tinypic and you are free to use the same URL, but if the link breaks for whatever reason then you're out of luck, so you might want to upload it to your own webspace anyway.

5. Please display common sense and courtesy when dealing with others here, and we highly encourage you to stick around after you've been stamped and return the favor to others and continue to participate in the fun.

6. Please put the words "It is known" in the Subject, to show us that you've read the rules.
